Vintage Uli Uli Hawaiian Hula Feather Gourd Rattles Red and Yellow
Nice vintage set of Hawaiian gourd rattles with golden yellow and red feathers.
The pair is in good condition.
They are not perfectly round, but a bit lopsided due to the positioning of the feathers. Probably from being in storage or placed in a bag.
The feathers seem to be well intact when handled, meaning they don't easily fall out.
But upon taking pictures some little feather pieces came out.
I have not shook them hard to see if feathers fall out.
The gourd rattles are in good condition.
Two small cracks at the top of one gourd, see pictures.
The red cloth binding is also intact, I didn't see any rips or tears. Just lots of small yellow feathers.
Colorful feathers are still nice and bright.
These would probably be better to display rather than to play with due to condition.

They are approximately 11" long.
The feathers are 9-11" wide.
I own a few pairs, so I'm letting this find go to someone else to appreciate :)
